The goal of the Foundation is to increase the permanent endowment to $1 million. Already earnings have enabled the Foundation to fund college scholarships and to make grants to local charities serving Lakewood’s greatest needs. The following grants have been made that directly serve Lakewood charities, children and families.

2013 Grant Application Now Being Accepted

The Lakewood Community Foundation Fund (LCFF) is currently a half million dollar endowment raised by citizens and businesses in Lakewood desiring to ensure that Lakewood remains a wonderful community in which to live, work and play.  The fund is intended to provide funding for the better off to give back to the community for the exceptional opportunities and quality of life Lakewood has provided them.  LCFF is an endowment for Lakewood’s future.  In 2013 LCFF will award $15,000 in grant funding to promote an improved community in Lakewood.

Non-profit organizations with a focus on Lakewood are encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will demonstrate outcomes provided by grant funding that will measurably improve quality of life in Lakewood.  Applicants must be a 501(c) (3) pubic charity, or present a capacity to partner with a 501(c) (3) agency.  Collaborations among organizations applying for a grant, or linking separate applicants for grants in coordinated projects to improve living, working, or recreational conditions in Lakewood quality are encouraged.   

Applications must be received by April 1, 2013 to be considered. Completed grant applications may be delivered to 5127 112th St SW, Lakewood, WA 98499 or mailed to P.O. Box 99190, Lakewood, WA 98496.
